This Privacy Policy explains what Loretia ("Loretia", "we", "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Loretia is a writing companion that reads your stories and checks them for continuity.

The short version

  • We collect only what we need to run the service: your account details, the story content you choose to analyze, and basic usage and billing records.
  • When you use the standalone CLI or the in-browser engine, your story is processed on your own device and is not sent to us.
  • We never sell your personal information, and we never train models on your stories.

What we collect

  • Account information — your email address and authentication identifiers when you sign in.
  • Story content — the files and text you upload to the cloud dashboard so Loretia can analyze them, and the derived continuity data (entities, timelines, diagnostics).
  • Usage and billing — plan, feature usage counts, and payment status. Card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach our servers.
  • Technical data — standard logs (IP, timestamps, errors) needed to operate and secure the service.

Bring-your-own-key and local processing

When you run the standalone CLI or use the on-device browser engine, analysis happens locally. Any AI provider key you supply (BYOK) stays on your machine and is used only to call the provider you chose. We do not receive that key or your story content in those modes.

Third parties we rely on

  • AI model providers (e.g. OpenRouter, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) — when you use cloud analysis, the relevant portion of your text is sent to the model you selected so it can be processed. Their handling of that data is governed by their own terms.
  • Payment processing — to manage subscriptions.
  • Cloud hosting — to run and store the service.

We share data with these providers only as needed to deliver the features you use.

Retention and deletion

We keep your content for as long as your account is active. You can delete scripts, projects, and franchises at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and associated data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise them.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you.
