Terms of Use

Last updated: 21 July 2026

These Terms govern your use of Loretia ("Loretia", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service — including the dashboard, the standalone CLI, and the editor plugins — you agree to these Terms.

The service

Loretia reads stories (screenplays, novels, and branching scripts), compiles them into a timeline of facts, and reports possible continuity problems. Loretia is an assistant: her findings are suggestions, not a guarantee of correctness.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must be able to form a binding contract to use the service.

Your content

You keep all rights to the stories and materials you bring to Loretia ("Your Content"). You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, process, and display Your Content back to you so the service can work. We do not claim ownership of Your Content, and we do not use it to train AI models.

Bring-your-own-key and third-party models

If you supply your own AI provider key, or use a third-party model through Loretia, your use of that provider is also subject to the provider's terms. You are responsible for having the right to use any key you supply and for the provider's charges.

Acceptable use

Don't use Loretia to break the law, infringe others' rights, or attempt to disrupt or reverse the service. Don't upload content you don't have the right to process.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. Feature limits depend on your plan. Taxes may apply. Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable for the period already started; you can cancel to stop future charges.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is." Loretia's continuity analysis is generated with AI and may be incomplete or wrong; it is not a substitute for your own review or professional editing. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Loretia is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost content or profits. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using Loretia at any time. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are violated. You can export or delete Your Content before closing your account.

Changes

We may update these Terms; we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, give notice. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
